(PRWEB) October 28, 2004 -

Nationwide, college students are revolting against Michael Moore’s film and his often university-financed, on-campus appearances. In response, MustHaveInfo.com is rallying students to organize free screenings of Dick Morris’s rebuttal film “FahrenHYPE 9/11.” The film is a bipartisan documentary including Ron Silver, Ed Koch, and Dick Morris, deconstructing the platform of Moore’s film. To date, students at more than fifty campuses have joined the cause.

CollegeWeekLive--World's Largest College Fair: Online in November

CollegeWeekLive–World’s Largest College Fair: Online in November

Quote startWith more colleges and educational sessions, we expect to go well beyond last spring’s attendance record of 11,000 attendees.Quote end

Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 25, 2008

CollegeWeekLive (http://www.collegeweeklive.com) announced today that over 150 colleges and universities from around the world have already committed to participating in its November event, a full eight weeks prior to the event. The announcement was made at NACAC 2008, the 64th annual conference of the National Association for College Admission Counseling taking place this week in Seattle.

With 150 schools signed up already, CollegeWeekLive anticipates that over 200 schools will exhibit at the event, roughly double the number of schools who participated in its spring show. With close to 20,000 students and parents expected to attend, CollegeWeekLive is the largest virtual college fair — allowing students, college representatives, and admissions experts to interact with one another in a unique format.

“Beyond our seminars from admissions experts, over 50 student video chats, career panels, and 200+ college booths, we are expanding CollegeWeekLive in many exciting ways this fall — adding a new parents panel, a session on college rankings, inspirational speakers, and even a live appearance from Iliza Shlesinger, winner of NBC-TV’s Last Comic Standing — to add a bit of humor to the stress-filled process of college admissions,” said Robert Rosenbloom, CEO of CollegeWeekLive. “With more colleges and educational sessions, we expect to go well beyond last spring’s attendance record of 11,000 attendees.”

Described as “The Green College Road Trip,” and featured in Newsweek, The New York Times, Seventeen, and USA Today, CollegeWeekLive’s uniquely immersive online format enables university admissions officers and financial aid officers to experience all of the benefits of a physical fair — interacting with students and parents — without travel and leaving no carbon footprint. At the same time, faced with rising fuel costs, students and parents can speak live with colleges across the US and internationally without having to incur the expense in money and time of long-distance travel.

CollegeWeekLive: An Efficient Recruiting Tool for Diverse Student Body

“We are excited to be taking part in CollegeWeekLive once again,” said Nikki Chun, Division of Enrollment Management, of The University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida (www.miami.edu). “The online college fair gives us an opportunity to interact with students from across the globe and easily connect admission counselors, alumni and current students with our prospective students.”

200+ Participating Colleges Expected

CollegeWeekLive Fall 2008 will showcase 200+ universities and colleges, across a wide range of higher education options for college-bound students: including 4-year and 2-year public and private universities and colleges, as well as online-only schools.

From Australia to the United States, Alaska to the United Kingdom — more than 150 institutions around the world — have already have already signed up to exhibit at CollegeWeekLive.

Delhi University Admission Course

Many doubts, apprehensions and queries must be haunting the minds of thousands of fresh students, both from the Capital and outside, keen to study in DU. Here I am giving you the answers to selected of the most general questions asked by students about delhi university admissions. Numerous doubts, apprehensions and queries must be memorable the minds of thousands of young people, both from the Capital and outside, keen to study in DU. Here I am giving you the answers to various of the most general questions asked by students about delhi university admissions.

Are vocational subjects accepted by the Central Board of Secondary Education taken into significance while calculating the best-of-four-subjects’ percentage?
Of course, but with circumstances. Only one vocational subject will be counted for admission to the honours programme, while the limit can be extended to two in the case of other programmes. For example, if you have financial marketing management as one of the vocational subjects in Class XII, you can choose one vocational subject (say) opening to financial markets along with English and two optional subjects for access to the honours programmes.

Vocational + English (or any other language) + two electives = best four for honours programme In other programmes, you can acquire the liberty of considering two vocational subjects. In that case, best four can be computed in the following manner: First vocational + second vocational + English + one elective = best four for a non- honours programme.

I am keen to take admission in BA (Honours) in English and haven’t done well in Class XII. What can I do?
Don’t care. More or less a dozen colleges fill their seats through entrance tests and if you are genuinely interested, you should be able to get through as marks in the Class XII Board exams have minor bearing on the DU admissions method.

I am apprehensive of writing an entrance test because these are conducted only once courses are considered `hot’. I am sure my probability of clearing them are bleak given the competition.
You are correct. English Honours has become a hugely popular programme. But if you are well-versed in English literature to some extent, then you have good chances of qualifying. The test is basically meant to keep off those who don’t know what Shakespeare is known for. In the test you might be quizzed on the book that won Salman Rushdie the Booker, etc.

Do I need to fill only one centralised form for applying to any number of programmes in any number of colleges?
Yes. You may apply for any number of courses in any DU college. This also reduces the element of risk, because if you don’t get into the college of your choice, you’ll have other options available too.

There are a few exceptions, however, which require you to apply separately. These incorporate admission under sports and extra curricular activities’ quotas, or disabled students’ quota. Also, a separate form must to be filled for courses for which admis- sion is through tests, such as in Bachelor of business economics, Bachelor of mass media and mass communica- tion), Bachelor of business studies, BA in journalism (English or Hindi). And keep in mind, three colleges – St Stephen’s, Jesus & Mary and SGTB Khalsa — only allow separate and not the centralised forms.

Here are I am giving all the common questions about delhi university admissions, if you want more information log on to india academic.

University Online Degrees – Join the High Ranks On Your Computer

Now there’s few words that I like more than consortium and portal; and that is just one of the exciting reasons why I’m getting all sorts of worked up for my university online degree. Are you thinking that I could engage in other activities that had some semblance of a connection with the words consortium and portal? I agree. But, I also want to get started on my career and don’t have the time to go to classes full time, because of my job.

The problem was that I have always been a little apprehensive of the programs that offered university online degrees. This is where my two favorite words come in. I can actually get my degree, online, by taking classes from major universities. Not simple institutions.

For example, If I used the Canadian Virtual University, or CVU, I have the option of taking classes from 13 established universities across Canada. There are several of these types of organizations, such as the Global University Alliance. This is a consortium of nine different major universities from the U.S., Britain, New Zealand, Australia, and the Netherlands. As you have probably gathered by now the Global University Alliance or CVU themselves have no classes to offer, but simply act as a portal for the major universities. This way your getting the benefits of a university online degree (classes at your own pace and convenience, yet still offering personalized attention), but also having the satisfaction that you’re not sacrificing a quality education.

Nelson Widrow is an author who’s written multiple articles about online degrees. Read more of his articles including: online accredited degrees and university online degrees.

Universal Online Promotions, Inc Signs Contract with Verizon
In November of 2007, Universal Online Promotions, Inc signed a contract with the world’s largest telecommunications corporation, Verizon.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 6, 2008

Universal Online Promotions, Inc, one of the country’s first outsourced sales and marketing firms, recently signed a contract with Verizon, who commands the number 11 spot on Forbes Fortune 500 and brought in over 64 billion dollars in revenue last year.

Since the contract signing in November of 2007, Universal Online has brought Verizon hundreds of new customers with the goal of bringing thousands more. Located in the heart of New York City, Universal commands the largest market for Verizon and with a team of highly trained Account Executives and Corporate Trainers, they hope to continue on the road to success.

Universal Online was founded 7 years ago in 2000 by President Rafael Diaz. Before he was able to sign contracts with Fortune 500 clients such as Quill, Amex, Hershey, AT&T, and Verizon, he worked with smaller names like Crystal Rock Water, Card Service International, and ACC.

Once Rafael and his team were able to not only surpass sales goals, but by hiring only the highest caliber professionals, they are able provide immeasurable value to their clients. With these standards in place, Universal Online is able to expand their client base and locations to what it is today. Universal Online has grown into a rapidly expanding organization with over 15 offices in 12 different cities across the country.

It’s no surprise that in combination with their client base and philosophy of only hiring business partners, Universal Online will sign with larger clients and continue to grow. “Big companies are always going to need to outsource. It’s more cost effective, and it’s the way of the future,” says Rafael.

How To Put Together a More attractive University Admission Essay

Writing essays and personal statements are crucial part of university admission application. With the ever increasing number of applicants for limited number of college seats, importance of well written coherent essays for securing admission in good universities cannot be overemphasized. Unlike from quantative metrics like GPA and other grades which judge a candidate´s academic ability, university admission essay try to judge the overall persona of the candidate.

The topics  of the essay on which the admissions aspirants are required to write may vary from university to university. Essays are a good medium for a candidate to showcase his/ her real self to the assessors. It is also a chance for the candidate to outshine others by putting up an interesting essay.

When writing the essays for college admission the most common questions in the mind of the candidates are what topics to choose? What should be the tone of essays? Which writing style should they adopt?

The answer to all this question is just one, the essay should be one that impresses the assessor.

If you are a university admission aspirant following tips can help you to put together an attractive university admission essay:

Via the essays the main aim of assessors is to judge your ability to think logically. An essay should be sequenced in a logical fashion which supports a smooth flow of thought. Abrupt breaks in the passage do not reflect well on your stream of thinking.

Try to make the essays interesting. Run of the mill, factual essays would not give you any head start. The assessors are also trying to look at your creative ability. Remember, an admission essay is not a research paper, so it need not be formulaic. An essay that makes an interesting read for assessors has much higher chances of success.

Be imaginative but truthful and sincere. The admission essay should be original and truly reflect ones personality. The admission officers can easily detect any lies beyond beautiful words.

In most of the admission essays the candidate is required to talk about personal incidences. Via this the admission officers are trying to know the real you. So do not pretend to be somebody else. Keep the tone of the essay a conversational one. Narrate the incidences as you would to a friend. Use of humor in right places can not only make your essay interesting for the reader but can also make your essay stand out amongst host of similar ones. Using witty catchy phrases, anecdotes or funny stories can leave a lasting impression on the mind of the reader.

The goal of the candidate should be to make the make the essay memorable. Admission officers read hundreds and thousands of essays to select few. They will not remember each and every essay but if you can make your essay stand out, your chances of selection drastically go up.

Do you want a University Admission Essay that will get you noticed. Buy essays for any subject and have them delivered directly to your computer.

Lincoln University of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was chartered in April 1854 as Ashmun Institute. As Horace Mann Bond, ’23, the eighth president of Lincoln University, so eloquently cites in the opening chapter of his book, Education for Freedom, this was “the first institution found anywhere in the world to provide a higher education in the arts and sciences for male youth of African descent.” The story of Lincoln University goes back to the early years of the 19th century and to the ancestors of its founder, John Miller Dickey, and his wife, Sarah Emlen Cresson. The Institute was renamed Lincoln University in 1866 after President Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln is surrounded by the rolling farmlands and wooded hilltops of southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. Its campus is conveniently located on Baltimore Pike, about one mile off US Route 1 — 45 miles southwest of Philadelphia, 15 miles northwest of Newark, Delaware, 25 miles west of Wilmington, Delaware, and 55 miles north of Baltimore, Maryland. Since its inception, Lincoln has attracted an interracial and international enrollment from the surrounding community, region, and around the world. The University admitted women students in 1952, and formally associated with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 1972 as a state-related, coeducational university. Lincoln currently enrolls approximately 2000 students. Located in southern Chester County, Lincoln is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and

Lee’ According to an annual study conducted among students by the National Research Center for College & University Admissions (NRCCUA), a substantial percentage of students significantly overestimate the cost of college, and dramatically underestimate the amount of financial aid available to them.

This survey was conducted just prior to the start of the 2008-2009 school year and included over 8,000 participants.

According to NRCCUA annual student research:

A significant number of students believe they will not have any access to financial assistance: 33.6% of students estimate that they will receive no financial aid at all, including loans, when attending a major public university.

Students rule out colleges based on cost without a complete understanding: 43% of first generation students report they would not consider a college costing over ,000 per year.

Students have a dramatic misconception about the cost of private AND public colleges: 37.5% of students estimate costs at least 50% higher than the actual average cost of attending a major public university.

NRCCUA is scheduled to reissue this study this month to measure any impact that the current economic conditions may be having on students’ perceptions of paying for college.

A complete list of participating schools is available at CollegeWeekLive and below. In addition, organizations such as the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid, HP Academy, Sallie Mae, Knewton, Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA), the American Association of Landscape Architects, the Shell Eco-marathon, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and The ACT are supporting partners of the two-day event. CollegeWeekLive offers high school students and their families the opportunity to browse information on hundreds of colleges conveniently at one website and chat live with admissions representatives from participating colleges. Teens can attend informal Q&A video webcasts featuring current college students on campuses across the U.S. and around the world, garnering a sense for student life at schools of interest. Is anyone enrolled in the South University online program?

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

I already know it’s accredited and I want to find out more about the school. I am interested in taking the online program for a B.S. in paralegal studies and I want to find out how the online classes are and whether or not it’s a good school. I only want to read opinions of students who are currently enrolled or have completed a program with the university.
