CollegeWeekLive--World's Largest College Fair: Online in November

CollegeWeekLive–World’s Largest College Fair: Online in November

Quote startWith more colleges and educational sessions, we expect to go well beyond last spring’s attendance record of 11,000 attendees.Quote end

Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 25, 2008

CollegeWeekLive (http://www.collegeweeklive.com) announced today that over 150 colleges and universities from around the world have already committed to participating in its November event, a full eight weeks prior to the event. The announcement was made at NACAC 2008, the 64th annual conference of the National Association for College Admission Counseling taking place this week in Seattle.

With 150 schools signed up already, CollegeWeekLive anticipates that over 200 schools will exhibit at the event, roughly double the number of schools who participated in its spring show. With close to 20,000 students and parents expected to attend, CollegeWeekLive is the largest virtual college fair — allowing students, college representatives, and admissions experts to interact with one another in a unique format.

“Beyond our seminars from admissions experts, over 50 student video chats, career panels, and 200+ college booths, we are expanding CollegeWeekLive in many exciting ways this fall — adding a new parents panel, a session on college rankings, inspirational speakers, and even a live appearance from Iliza Shlesinger, winner of NBC-TV’s Last Comic Standing — to add a bit of humor to the stress-filled process of college admissions,” said Robert Rosenbloom, CEO of CollegeWeekLive. “With more colleges and educational sessions, we expect to go well beyond last spring’s attendance record of 11,000 attendees.”

Described as “The Green College Road Trip,” and featured in Newsweek, The New York Times, Seventeen, and USA Today, CollegeWeekLive’s uniquely immersive online format enables university admissions officers and financial aid officers to experience all of the benefits of a physical fair — interacting with students and parents — without travel and leaving no carbon footprint. At the same time, faced with rising fuel costs, students and parents can speak live with colleges across the US and internationally without having to incur the expense in money and time of long-distance travel.

CollegeWeekLive: An Efficient Recruiting Tool for Diverse Student Body

“We are excited to be taking part in CollegeWeekLive once again,” said Nikki Chun, Division of Enrollment Management, of The University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida (www.miami.edu). “The online college fair gives us an opportunity to interact with students from across the globe and easily connect admission counselors, alumni and current students with our prospective students.”

200+ Participating Colleges Expected

CollegeWeekLive Fall 2008 will showcase 200+ universities and colleges, across a wide range of higher education options for college-bound students: including 4-year and 2-year public and private universities and colleges, as well as online-only schools.

From Australia to the United States, Alaska to the United Kingdom — more than 150 institutions around the world — have already have already signed up to exhibit at CollegeWeekLive.

University Online Degrees – Join the High Ranks On Your Computer

Now there’s few words that I like more than consortium and portal; and that is just one of the exciting reasons why I’m getting all sorts of worked up for my university online degree. Are you thinking that I could engage in other activities that had some semblance of a connection with the words consortium and portal? I agree. But, I also want to get started on my career and don’t have the time to go to classes full time, because of my job.

The problem was that I have always been a little apprehensive of the programs that offered university online degrees. This is where my two favorite words come in. I can actually get my degree, online, by taking classes from major universities. Not simple institutions.

For example, If I used the Canadian Virtual University, or CVU, I have the option of taking classes from 13 established universities across Canada. There are several of these types of organizations, such as the Global University Alliance. This is a consortium of nine different major universities from the U.S., Britain, New Zealand, Australia, and the Netherlands. As you have probably gathered by now the Global University Alliance or CVU themselves have no classes to offer, but simply act as a portal for the major universities. This way your getting the benefits of a university online degree (classes at your own pace and convenience, yet still offering personalized attention), but also having the satisfaction that you’re not sacrificing a quality education.

Nelson Widrow is an author who’s written multiple articles about online degrees. Read more of his articles including: online accredited degrees and university online degrees.

The five colleges of DeVry University; all focused on turning bachelor’s degrees into careers, all providing the education and experience that employers seek in today’s fastest growing industries. Choose a degree program within five distinguished colleges—Business & Management, Engineering & Information Sciences, Health Sciences, Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Media Arts & Technology. Five colleges preparing students for career success – one university. DeVry University. www.devry.edu.

Universal Online Promotions, Inc Signs Contract with Verizon
In November of 2007, Universal Online Promotions, Inc signed a contract with the world’s largest telecommunications corporation, Verizon.

New York, NY (PRWEB) March 6, 2008

Universal Online Promotions, Inc, one of the country’s first outsourced sales and marketing firms, recently signed a contract with Verizon, who commands the number 11 spot on Forbes Fortune 500 and brought in over 64 billion dollars in revenue last year.

Since the contract signing in November of 2007, Universal Online has brought Verizon hundreds of new customers with the goal of bringing thousands more. Located in the heart of New York City, Universal commands the largest market for Verizon and with a team of highly trained Account Executives and Corporate Trainers, they hope to continue on the road to success.

Universal Online was founded 7 years ago in 2000 by President Rafael Diaz. Before he was able to sign contracts with Fortune 500 clients such as Quill, Amex, Hershey, AT&T, and Verizon, he worked with smaller names like Crystal Rock Water, Card Service International, and ACC.

Once Rafael and his team were able to not only surpass sales goals, but by hiring only the highest caliber professionals, they are able provide immeasurable value to their clients. With these standards in place, Universal Online is able to expand their client base and locations to what it is today. Universal Online has grown into a rapidly expanding organization with over 15 offices in 12 different cities across the country.

It’s no surprise that in combination with their client base and philosophy of only hiring business partners, Universal Online will sign with larger clients and continue to grow. “Big companies are always going to need to outsource. It’s more cost effective, and it’s the way of the future,” says Rafael.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) March 10, 2010

CollegeWeekLive, the leading web destination which brings high school students and colleges together live online, announced today the largest online admissions event yet: CollegeWeekLive SPRING, Mach 24th and 25th from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM Eastern. An estimated 40,000 teens will login to CollegeWeekLive over two days with one goal in mind – to connect with thousands of admissions representatives from more than 200 higher education institutions from the convenience of a computer.Spring is historically the season when juniors kick off the college search in earnest.

Academic institutions participating in CollegeWeekLive SPRING range from Ivy League institutions to public and private universities and regional leaders in higher education. A complete list of participating schools is available at CollegeWeekLive and below. In addition, organizations such as the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Federal Student Aid, HP Academy, Sallie Mae, Knewton, Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority (MEFA), the American Association of Landscape Architects, the Shell Eco-marathon, the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) and The ACT are supporting partners of the two-day event. These student services organizations provide a variety of resources to CollegeWeekLive participants helping them to achieve their dreams of a college education.

CollegeWeekLive offers high school students and their families the opportunity to browse information on hundreds of colleges conveniently at one website and chat live with admissions representatives from participating colleges. Teens can attend informal Q&A video webcasts featuring current college students on campuses across the U.S. and around the world, garnering a sense for student life at schools of interest. Attendees can also watch leading experts present live on admissions topics such as the college application process, school fit, and uncovering scholarships and financial aid.

Increasingly, CollegeWeekLive online admission events represent the way teens prefer to research colleges and universities. Based on a March 2010 survey of more than two hundred thousand CollegeWeekLive registrants, the first step 79.7% high school students take when researching higher education is to “go online to college websites and online college fairs”. “Reading through brochures” came in a distant second at 10.9% and “visiting individual college campuses” was cited by just 6.3% of respondents as the first step in college research. For budget-conscious families, CollegeWeekLive represents a way to explore colleges before getting in the car or on a plane to visit a school in person.

University Online Business Program Specifics

Sunday, April 25th, 2010

It is true that being in a business is one of the world’s most common ways to earn extra bucks these days. However, even though a lot of people attest to its ease, being successful in this field will always be dependent on one’s university online business experience. Indeed, a very wide knowledge and solid skills are required from an entrepreneur for a sure success in any business. Hence, it is important for a person to grab a good education from a reputable online business program.

Though there are a lot of online business universities and schools across the web, it is not enough that you enroll to just any of them. It is necessary for you to choose the one that can provide you the best knowledge and techniques in the end.  To help you in the selection process, here are some things you must look for in an online business program before getting yourself enrolled:

• Accreditation.  Accreditation is a must thing for every university online business program. This is important because if you come from a non-accredited institution, you may find it hard to meet the demands and challenges in the business scene. To find if a program is accredited, you can check out the websites of such schools under consideration. More often than not, this information is posted there.

• Course delivery system. Though different schools offer different course delivery systems, there is no right or wrong in that part. Some schools teach through forums, videos, and a lot of other modern means. In the end, there is nothing wrong for your choice here. What only matter here is that the course delivery system you pick must be convenient for your time, lifestyle, and other factors.

• Curriculum. Before you enroll yourself in an online business university, carefully review the curriculum they are offering. This way, you know what the things that are covered by their program are and what disciplines are not. You can make a comparison of different online business schools’ curriculum for you to land a good choice. Another thing about the curriculum is that its coverage is usually budget-specific. Hence, make sure to choose the one that fits your finances but not necessarily sacrificing the quality of education you will receive.

• Financial aid. If you are an aspiring entrepreneur but is on a budget, it is good to check out for online business programs that offer financial aid. This way, you can get discounts for the fee to lessen up your bills. Plus, you can even apply for student debts for assistance.

Indeed, it is always important that you find a decent university online business program for yourself. Since there are a lot of scams in the internet, it will be worth every time and effort to make sure that the institution you are giving yourself to is legitimate and reputable. In the end, the institution you have trusted can make or break your dreams of being successful in the world of businesses.

Christian Universities Online

There are lots of different reasons why a student may choose one school over another to continue their education. Although the educational facilities offered are an integral part of choosing a college there are many other features to look at; dress codes, athletic opportunities, social opportunities and personal and religious inclination all have a part to play when considering a college for further learning.

Among these are a sizeable number of Christian Universities Online that offer an excellent education alongside a spiritually oriented university lifestyle. Christian Universities Online are focused deeply upon the role of the student and his or her relationship with God or religious worship.

Many Christian Universities Online will offer numerous degrees within a theological department or seminary program. These may include Christian counseling, Christian ministry, religious and theological studies, Bible studies, youth ministry and many others. Even classes that are considered secular, such as the liberal arts or science programs, usually integrate some form of religious affiliation or motivation.

Students are required to set an example as moral leaders and to encourage the Word of God as part of their responsibility. They may be expected to be present at all religious services and offer to play a part in voluntary groups or sometimes even missionary journeys. A student’s lifestyle and professional activities are encouraged to include, if not center upon, a religious approach to college life.

Most Christian Universities have an obligatory spiritual or religious code that is manifest in all areas of college life. They try to instil in the student the value of welcoming God or spirituality into all facets of their college lifestyle. In a traditional campus setting, co-educational dorms are not likely to exist in a Christian University and some may even impose a dress code.

Just like secular schools, Christian Universities are subject to regional and/or national accreditation and because a school is religiously associated it does not mean that it is any better or worse than any other school. All Christian Universities Online should be considered on their own merits, and it is the job of the student to consider all the factors that a college may offer, whether it is a strong spiritual foundation, an exceptional record of academia, or co-educational dorm rooms!
