This is the William and Mary admission office’s award-winning video message about the writing that’s part of the application and the people who will be reading it. A link to this video appears within the essay prompt on the online application. Although students do not need to see the video prompt in order to complete their applications successfully, the video offers additional context that is intended both to put them at ease and to promote their creativity. The screenplay for the video was written by Dean of Admission Henry Broaddus, and the video was produced by Kelsh Wilson Design. Nick Kelsh directed. Christianity is not a religion. Its actually a faith .Being a Christian and being religious are mutually exclusive things. And your comments don’t sound educated in my opinion. Just very arrogant .
An educated mind gives you not only opinions but facts and methods which shape your opinions. Therefore an outright statement is certainly not a sign of one being uneducated. However, I do not care for this conversation and was merely expressing my right to speak. If you are disgusted at that, let it be. However I have expressed my opinion and wish to take it no further. I can still peacefully knowing that religion is on the decline.
Offensive and ridiculous? If anything is offensive and ridiculous it is your statement. An educated person wouldn’t be as judgemental as you’re being right now, thats for sure.
Your view is totally acceptable, and your college should listen to you. I do not know why this has been lowered? The more educated one becomes, the more they see how offensive and ridiculous religion is.

If there is room for different beliefs there, why did they feel it necessary to remove the cross from the Wrenn Chapel? Celebrate Diversity? I think not!
I have two kids at WM right now. Both are conservative and Christian. They have not found the school to be either whacko liberal or anti-Christian. It is a public university and there is room for a lot of different beliefs there. I’m thankful for such a great school for my kids!
I’ve been preparing to apply to colleges, and this is the first time it hasn’t seemed like I would just be a number entered into a computer to see if my grades, community service hours, awards, etc. match up.
