G20 2009: Police Attack Students at University of Pittsburgh

Police used teargas pepper spray and rubber bullets against University of Pittsburgh students during the Pittsburgh G20 Summit. Many of the students were not part of any demonstration but bystanders, curious to find a mass of armed riot police on their campus. For more information and videos visit indypgh.org

Yeah- there might of been a few in there, but not the exact groups obviously.
Pittsburgh Public Safety saw during those “celebrations”, that they were not mature enough to not fuck shit up for something as benign as a championship, so they sure as hell were not going to sit still for any of that crap during the G20. They nipped it in the bud before it started. They were told to disperse multiple times before the police acted.

What, you mean these kids? These exact students were responsible?? Are you just generalizing them as all students are to blame for or do you mean these exact teenagers?
Also look at Greece and Iran. If there are angry people lashing out at protests governments have only themselves to blame.

  3. absiliomundus says:

What the heck is going on? Why were they doing this?…

  4. dmedicFF says:

Because- like I said- they (students) fucked up Oakland during Super Bowl and Stanley Cup victories.

  5. 101101101777 says:

How do you know they didn’t have a good “track record”? These do not look like people from other rallies, they are local residents, it’s their dorms?

Needing a permit to assemble is really a joke. It’s as ridiculous as the caged in assembly zones.

  6. 101101101777 says:

Maybe the tyranny is sneaking up on you people. Seriously tho, what were they doing wrong. They live and are taught in this area, They’re curious, I see no violent action carried out anywhere to justify police actions. They have more of a right to be there even than the world “leaders”.

  7. podd9 says:

At 3:45 in the video, I can see why S.W.A.T. pushed thoes girls away. They were trying to get in their faces and make them look like they would not take action.
I would whack them with a sheild if I could XD !!!

  8. kieltehsmith says:

LOL well if you was you would probably get arrested im not sucking there dicks im just saying they cant do there job if theres a huge retarded mob in front of them and yes they do have the right its there fucking job -_-

  9. burtonh1 says:

Hear Hear Warsie! Our rights should not be wavered under any terms or conditions. This is appalling and futher evidence of the Dissolution of our Constitution.

  10. jdector53 says:

    @KT8907

what is so hard about not gassing college students peacefully assembled on their own campus?

  11. KT8907 says:

are you calling me a retard or is this a reply to someone else?

If it is for me, then what is your problem.

Yes they were gassed while on their own campus, but they wouldn’t listen. What is so difficult about avoiding issues? What is so hard about just leaving the area because of security issues, in order to protect attendees of the G20?

If the students who weren’t protesting just simply walked away when asked, none of this would have happened.

  12. Warsie says:

And their rights are taken away just like that. On their own grounds (campus).

  13. Warsie says:

It’s been working fine for the RICH and the majority. That doesn’t mean the minorities and disenfranchised were doing so well. Besides, if I leave I’ll be subject to America’s foreign policy…

  14. Warsie says:

So what if “world leaders” are nearby. They’re sovereign citizens and the presence of jack-ass rich people who claim to be “leaders” does not affect them. Given most of them weren’t protestors.

  15. Warsie says:

lol PGH won’t tolerate the rage of the disenfranchised at a shitty system? Not a surprise, being the lackeys of the rich in a lot of cases.

  16. Warsie says:

lol. I wasn’t even @ the G20. They have no right to force their ‘authority’ or ‘power’ on other people. You’re one of the retards who suck the dick of the pigs excessively. How are you not choking on police penis?

  17. bedgamemaster says:

    Paranoja…

  18. KT8907 says:

If the students just left, they wouldn’t be gassed. Simple.

  19. jpistella says:

Hey. They were warned. Yes, they do have a constitutional right to assemble. Which one of them had the copy of the permit on them?

  20. dmedicFF says:

Get this clear: I have NO RESPECT for any of em. Tyranny? Give me a break.

  21. dmedicFF says:

No- most of them were not connected to any protest groups at all.
They were ordered to disperse, because world leaders were right up the street, and these kids can’t even celebrate the Super Bowl or Stanley Cup without beating each other up, breaking windows, or setting shit on fire.
They have the right to PEACEFULLY assemble, of which they do not have a good track record. And the permits to do so were legal, and they didnt have them.

  22. 101101101777 says:

Can anyone else say ‘Kent State’ where riot cops freaked out and started shooting, one of four victims was a young woman who was on the FAR opposite side of the campus, when a random bullet killed her. History shows these consequences.

  23. 101101101777 says:

It’s so laughable, you people who insult the students while they have it in their constitutional rights to be there for this meeting, none of them were doing anything.

You don’t even have to do anything to provoke riot police, cause they’re provoking you with their intimidation tactics.
They go after people simply for recording.

If you don’t see something wrong with this you might be an idiot.

  24. 101101101777 says:

Their students with a right to assemble, not to have pre-planned quasi military operations with lethal consequences carried out against them. Most are benign by-standards who are concerned and actively pursuing their concern.

They’re also your fellow country men, show some respect for the tyranny they went through.
